Programme Schedule & Locations

Week 5, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

LICT, Halol (Gujarat) & ATIRA, Ahmedabad

The Composites Integrated Testing – Mechanical, Electrical & FST programme is an intensive 1-day classroom training designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of integrated testing methodologies for composite materials.
The programme focuses on the functional relationship between mechanical performance, electrical behaviour, and Fire–Smoke–Toxicity (FST) requirements of composite structures. Participants gain exposure to industry-relevant standards, specimen preparation practices, test methods, and result interpretation applicable to aerospace, railway/metro, automotive, and industrial applications. Real-world case studies and demonstrations enable participants to connect testing outcomes with manufacturing quality, qualification, and certification requirements.

  • Professionals from Quality, Laboratory, Production, Process, Design, R&D, and Sales & Marketing functions
  • Composite manufacturing engineers, supervisors, technicians, and inspectors
  • Testing and certification engineers (mechanical, electrical, FST)
  • Tooling engineers, mould makers, and workshop/maintenance teams
  • NDT personnel and quality inspectors
  • Cross-functional teams supporting composite product development
  • Professionals transitioning into composite testing, qualification, or certification roles
  • Classroom sessions
  • Laboratory and workshop demonstrations
  • Presentations, videos, and specimen handling
  • Case study discussions
  • Interactive Q&A
  • End-of-program examination / knowledge check

No prior technical background or industrial experience is required.
Participants should have basic language comprehension (Hindi or English) and familiarity with general safety practices.

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
  • Understand the importance of integrated testing for composite structures
  • Identify key mechanical, electrical, and FST test requirements across industries
  • Select appropriate test methods and standards for mechanical performance evaluation
  • Interpret stress–strain behaviour, failure modes, and test reports
  • Understand electrical behaviour of carbon, glass, and hybrid composites
  • Interpret electrical test data such as resistivity, continuity, and shielding effectiveness
  • Understand FST regulatory requirements and testing methods
  • Analyse FST results and identify compliance gaps or improvement strategies
  • Relate testing outcomes to material selection, process quality, and certification needs
